This article relates to our product Cloud Drive Mapper.
In Windows, when right clicking on a file you get an option named 'Share'. This is not an enterprise or cloud-integrated feature, it is just something that's been built into Windows for a long time.
As such, it may be confusing to users who believe it to be related to the OneDrive and SharePoint sharing functionality.
Cloud Drive Mapper can remove this Share option for you as part of the MasterSettings key. Ensure that value 2097152 is added into the MasterSettings bitmask total value to disable 'Modern Sharing'.
Please note: If you have already disabled Modern Sharing outside of CDM using the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Shell Extensions\Blocked location, you will need to ensure CDM is set to also disable otherwise we will remove the entry automatically to re-enable sharing. We do this, so if you move between disabling and enabling it will honour the change. If we are changing state in real-time - which would only happen when first applied or when switching back if its currently enabled - it is expected that the task bar may flash momentarily.
